Portrait Marathon update: Tuck progress 2

Well, that's looking better!

Still a lot of work to do, but you can see more what's going on.  If you glance back at the earlier post, and see the hot pink bedding, with the weird blotches of darker color, I hope you, like I am, are soothed by this new more sumptuous deep red with comprehensible wrinkles.  The shape of the body is starting to make sense.  Detail is starting to come clear, especially around the eyes, and his ear on the left, across the top of his head.

When I look back and forth at the reference image, I see there's still a lot to do; to get the shape of the shoulder right, make the tail more than a vague patch, darken the nose, and put nearly all the detail into the muzzle.

I'll have a couple more hours to work, then have to quit for today and tomorrow.  Let's see how much I can get done!
